Incident Number 857

Additional information on strike on Ash Platt road, Seal, Sevenoaks

My parents built a house on the site in the fifties. It had previously been a field. At the bottom of the garden was an area we called ‘the bomb hole’. However many times it was filled in it always eventually sunk, the original hole must have been very deep. We found many remnants of the strike, twisted metal, fins, wiring. The strike was witnessed by someone passing on the nearby footpath. Allegedly sadly a gardener in a nearby house was killed while in a greenhouse.
