I’ve only just discovered this site and realise I won’t get a reply, but I read on another blog that V2 explosions were sometimes called “land mines”. My mother, Maureen Bradley, lived in Castletown Rd, W14 throughout the war, and I remember her saying that the house shook when what the authorities called a land mine landed on what is now Normand Park playground. This site doesn’t appear on the maps as a V2 impact site.

Sorry we have no idea if he is still alive or is contactable. From what we can remember we belive “Lewis Blake” may be a pen name but what is certain is that all three of “his” books were privately published so it’s not possible to contact a publisher.
