My sister, Nell was the eldest girl with 8 siblings, 4 boys and 4 girls. I'm Vicki, the youngest girl. There was; Dicky, Dave, Neil, Eileen, big Maureen, little Maureen, Vicki, Alfie and Terry, the youngest. Sadly, we have lost the 5 eldest and their spouses. The spouses; Jean, Vera, Stan, Dennis and John were just like brothers and sisters because they were in our lives from when we were very young. And, we all survived the war.

Mum and dad run a happy household but strict. They wouldn't stand no nonsense! We had lots of parties and get togethers and shared some holidays together as well. We had lots of laughs and happy times but we did have our hard times too.

Maureen went on to have 3 wonderful girls, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren! All are happy and healthy and they're still close to all the family.

Those of us left still see each other as often as we can and keep in touch via all this new technology.
