Mother, pregnant at the time told me one landed on Cranmore road, a couple of houses down from White Horse Hill and someone was killed. She was in bed at the time and glass landed on the bed. I was born a few days after the war ended. There were large wooden props supporting the side of our house for a few years before repaired.
May who as kids we referred to as Auntie lived at the first house in Cranmore at the bottom of our and Dr Groome's gardens.

Incident Number 822 19 February 1945

I lived in Clarence Road,Walthamstow,E.17.and was effected by the aftermath. My parents told me much about neighbours and families effected by noise of hundreds of panes of glass breaking, although they heard no bang as happened when the rocket landed close by. As our next door neighbour rushed to her Anderson air raid shelter she fell down a man hole and broke her leg ,Its cover having been blown off by the blast. My father, who was a shift worker at Willourghby Lane gas works awoke to see the sky through the damaged roof and rushed to the shelter. When he returned he could not get back upstairs as the front door was wedged half way up.

There were two V2 Strikes near Whitta Road both in February 1945 as far as we can see.
1. Incident Number 659 @ 12:43 – Friday 2 February 1945
2. Incident Number 688 @ 19:16 – Tuesday 6 February 1945
We hope this helps

V2 london locations

My mother Elsie (nee Hicks) evacuated from 20 Durham Rd Manor Park part thru blitz to Devon. On return in 1945, this railway co. owned terrace house had minor blast damage which she was informed was due to a V2 hit on the matching row of terrace houses on north side of Manor Park station. I grew up at #20 and confirm the south side of Whitta Road alongside the railway station had no matching terrace (waste land). Not conclusive, but prewar maps will likely show there were homes on notth side of Manor Park station.
